Your Health – In Body And Mind – Depends On You Choosing An Optimal Balance Of Food, Fitness, and Wellness

Most mistakenly think working out is the magic key to weight loss, a fit, healthy body, and a positive and creative mindset.

They couldn’t be farther off the mark. Training your body is one small part of the puzzle comprising optimal health and body composition.

Working out, however, does nearly nothing for weight loss and fat reduction.

You will not chisel your dream body by training like a maniac. If you’re a youngster, this may work for a while, but forget it once you hit your 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond.

That approach leads to overtraining, which will burn you out, make you overeat, and eventually, you will put on a ton of excess fat due to overeating!

Let’s not even talk about the stress you’re causing your brain with all that hyperactive activity in the gym — that’s dangerous!

You must nourish your body and mind with love — food! Your body and mind’s soulmate is real FOOD!

If you do, you will grow like the Garden of Eden and become a powerfully graceful muscle machine.

After food, what’s next?

Movement!

You must make sure to move a lot — not to be mistaken with lots of gym time and weightlifting.

Again, the mass hysteria about spending hours in the gym is ill-advised and + dangerous.

What I mean by “movement” is to use your body how it wants to be — challenge it!

→ That keeps your body agile and your mind alert.

Walk, swim, bike, waterski, wakeboard, play tennis, golf, basketball, surf, table tennis, whatever you like, just move and do it.

The beauty of this is you’re not actually working out — you are having fun!

Understand the big difference? Learning new sports and pushing yourself to new limits is what your brain wants.

Then, add and practice some skills, like headstands, handstands, and tightrope walking.

Whatever, it doesn’t matter, as long as it’s a challenge and fun!

Sure, sure, sure. By all means, do some strength and sprint training too. I do too, but I limit my workouts to bodyweight exercises and micro-workouts that I complete in 15 to 20 minutes.

My weekly sprinting session is done in 15 minutes. A small window in which I break down my fast-twitch muscles that rebuild stronger and leaner.

That process takes around 12 hours, during which your body continuously burns fat.

That’s a double whammy, and great bang for your buck!

I don’t spend more than 2 hours a week working out — daily walking time aside.

Next? Slow Life Down

Don’t be a busybody constantly running around working and working out. You don’t want to do that to yourself.

Instead, make a serious effort to slow down and take life easy. That’s vital for a healthy, positive, clear, and curious mind.

Take 1 or 2 days off from training and even working and instead pamper yourself.

Go to the barbershop to get a haircut, shave, and a neck and shoulder massage, guys.

Ladies, you do the same (without the shaving, I hope) in a salon once a week — you need it, and you deserve it.

Sleep in, relax, and do nothing. Doing nothing is excellent mind training. Your mind will always push you to do something — resist and silence it.

Get a massage once a week, hit the sauna or steam room, have a mani-pedi, and chill.

Final Thoughts

Balance your life — that leads to a healthy body and a calm and happy mind.

The last thing you want to do is push yourself too hard working out. That’s counterproductive and unhealthy.

Instead, look after your temple, feed it optimal nutrient-rich foods, move naturally, spend time in nature, play and have fun, and love yourself.

You are worth it!
