First You Must Heal Your Body, and Then Your Mindset Will Fix Itself Provided Your Environment Is Right!

Simple Logic: How can you have a healthy mindset if your body’s a mess?

There are numerous unhealthy-looking geniuses and billionaires in this world. You only need to look at some social media and software rock stars, yet does that mean that they are healthy physically or have a positive mindset!

They are successful because of their clever minds and some help from their friends. Does that make them mentally healthy?

In my opinion and experience, it doesn’t.

You can observe that based on some of their bizarre behaviors, comments, and views. They always tend to lean to an extreme while pushing their agenda.

The classic example even a blind man can see is Donald Trump.

Successful? Maybe, depending on which way you look at it.

Healthy? Not so much.

Mentally stable and a clear mindset? Highly doubtful.

There are many such examples — skinny or obese. You can be one or the other — it doesn’t matter.

My years of nutrition and health coaching have taught me something quite valuable but also unpleasant – I can read people’s mindset and state of health!

I can tell whether you’re metabolically and mentally healthy or not just by looking at you. 

When I see a heavily overweight or anorexic person, I see their stress written all over their face and in their posture.

Why is this unpleasant for me? Because I see it all the time, and that saddens me.

Often when I see people close to me, either in a cafe, restaurant, or walking, I’m burning to simply walk over to them and give them some free advice on how to become healthy and happy again. However, unsolicited advice of any kind is impolite and would not be received well – so I do not do it.

Poor body health drags down your mental health and imposes a negative mindset

Once you become physically unhealthy, your mind soon follows.

It starts with being unhappy sometimes, then most of the time. Once you’ve reached that stage you move on to anger and severe depression.

I know this all too well from first-hand experience with being unhealthy, overweight, and very depressed.

It’s a long slippery slope you don’t even realize you’re on for the longest time. It can take years until you realize and admit to having a problem with your mindset. Making matters worse, you usually don’t know why this has happened to you.

I was one of those people: Overweight, unhappy, and angry at everyone, myself, and life. Then when the depression sets in, all bets are off!

I fixed my mental health and mindset by eliminating the toxins from my body

My health decline wasn’t mild – I was pretty far gone in most departments.

The depression got so bad I’d stay up late most nights binge drinking until I’d pass out.

You feel like hell when you wake up the next day, and your mind quickly sinks to another low – an endless and dangerous merry-go-round messing with your head.

You end up with the worst thoughts filling your mind: Shall I end it here?

If that wasn’t bad enough, I had a stroke at age 45 (I am now 54 and healthier than ever)!

That episode scared the life out of me, which forced me to take action to change myself and save my life.

The “Whole Balanced Western Diet,” aka “The Standard American Diet!”

Once I realized my diet had made me sick and overweight, I immediately started to eliminate the toxic ingredients I had been consuming for decades. 

Those are: Sugar, grains, and anything made from them, seed oils, and even most vegetables.

Once you go through the elimination cycle, you soon see what’s left over and that’s all you need to eat and live a healthy, stress, and ailment-free life!

It boils down to simple but real food: Meat, fish, seafood, eggs, healthy animal fats, dairy, berries, dark chocolate, and a few toxin-free select vegetables – the cruciferous group. And that is it, and all you need to keep your body healthy and your mindset clear. 

That’s what I dialed my diet down to in 2016 and that’s exactly what saved my physical and mental health.

My results:

  • Lost all my excess weight within 3 months
  • Learned how to exercise efficiently while building a robust cardiovascular system
  • Boosted my immune system
  • Started to see myself and what was around me differently
  • Calmed my mind with meditation

That was the start of my mental health healing journey.

Without knowing, at first, my diet cleansed and healed me from within. Once that process was complete, my mind started its natural healing process and I rediscovered my positive mindset.

My mind went through a slow but massive shift. I used to be a narcissist, only interested in myself and always had to be right.

Finally, I began to see things differently and recognized my past mistakes and actions that had led to many problems in my life.

It was an incredibly eye-opening process – an epiphany!

Suddenly, you find yourself going from always being right and treating people badly to understanding you are the problem.

Final Thoughts

Your body and mind are naturally intertwined. You can’t be unhealthy in one and healthy in the other.

This also has nothing to do with success or being a Millionaire — it’s about peace of mind and happiness.

They say money can’t buy you happiness – that is true.

I used to have a good amount of money, but I was never happy, instead, I was a self-centered jerk, which in the end led me to lose most of what I had gained anyway.

Now, I have a lot less, but it’s enough and I am happy.

What matters is that your mind is at peace, your body healthy, you are in a good environment, and you are humble, content, and grateful for what you have.
