Did You Know? Having a Daily Morning Health Routine is The Best Way to Get and Keep You on Track and in Shape

Here’s my time-tested optimal morning routine – no matter how early or late in the morning.

Time: That’s the first issue and misconception I want to highlight in this post about your morning routine.

Folks who continuously push the “5 am Club” to be the absolute best way to start your day productively, are incorrect.

This notion is a misleading interpretation by early-morning fitness fanatics who firmly believe that starting your day at 5 am by exercising is the best and only way to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

Why that is not accurate

  1. We all have different schedules, obligations, and priorities.
  2. Some people are natural early birds, while others are not.
  3. One person may have to work late and thus can or must get up later in the morning, while another finishes work early and goes to bed at 8 pm or earlier.
  4. Those things are often not choices, but situations.
  5. You may feel and function better if you get up at 7 or 8 am, as opposed to 5 or even 4 am as some extremists do.
  6. If you are an early sleeper and early bird that’s fine and good for you. But, if you are the opposite, it’s far better and healthier for your body and mind to take it slow in the morning and get moving when you are good and ready – work permitting, of course.
  7. The lesson here is your commitment to a healthy morning routine that you adhere to daily, as that will make you comfortable, relaxed, and not stressed for the day ahead.

That’s why the “5 am Club” folks should stop hammering home the supposed huge benefits of starting your day and routine at 5 am or earlier.

All that does is make readers of such posts feel guilty and insufficient and then doubt themselves. Stirring up those emotions in thousands of people, whose circumstances you do not know, well, is of poor judgment.

Each to his own is the only way forward

As long as you understand the value and importance of a healthy morning routine, no matter what time it may be, you’re on the right track.

The only person who knows what’s right for you is you. So, never let anyone else tell you how you should be living your life, and try to talk you into their life routines.

They should keep their story to themselves and talk about it far less so they can focus on what they want and need, instead of lecturing others what to do.

How you define your life and health, how you wish to live it, is 100% up to You!

Please remember that.

There are so many simple and pleasurable methods to step up and stay on top of your game, no matter what time of the day.

I mix my exercise routine up between mornings and evenings, because I get double the satisfaction out of it with far less effort, while I also spend more time in nature.

Here’s my simple, effective, and happy hormone-boosting morning routine:

  1. Wake up and get up when I want – usually between 6 and 8 am, depending on how late I was working and up the night before.
  2. I don’t set fixed times for sleep or waking up, but I do keep them within a reasonable time frame.
  3. Drink lots of water with lemon juice and a little salt.
  4. Enjoy my hot homemade coffee with heavy cream and a little butter, while checking my emails, and messages, and writing down my plans for the day.
  5. Then I always go for a 2 to 4-km walk along the riverside, beach, park, or even in the city. That is usually around 9 am.
  6. After that, I stop at my favorite smoothie stand in town where the staff make me my favorite Avocado and Coconut water smoothie with ice and no sugar.

That’s it. When I’m done with my routine, which takes no more than one hour, I go back home and get to work, refreshed, energized, and ready to rumble!

My routine incorporates multiple benefits, which I see not as a routine, but as a healthy lifestyle habit.

The Benefits:

  • Heart Healthy Cardio
  • Mindfulness & Meditation
  • Energizing Water, Coffee, and a Healthy Nutrient Dense Sugar-Free Smoothie
  • A Clear and Creative Mind
  • Boosted Motivation and Productivity for my Day

I’ve been following this lifestyle habit for years, and I find there are few or no better ways to start your day, which takes no more than 1 hour!

Added Bonus: I work along the way when walking and drinking my smoothie,  – reading emails, making voice calls, and checking my favorite social media platforms.

Final Thoughts

I find this daily habit super productive and great for my overall mental and physical health. It uplifts my positivity, clears my mind, and makes me feel happy and content for the day ahead.

Maybe try this method for a few days and see how much better you may feel!
